  1. Discover Mexico - Located only five minutes from downtown, this park displays more than 65 reproductions of real-size statues from the Toltec and Mayan civilizations.

  3. San Gervaiso Ruins - Although not as popular as Chichén Itzá, these ancient Mayan ruins are noteworthy in their own right, as this is the site where Mayan women paid tribute to the goddess of love and fertility

  4. Iglesia de San Miguel - This historic church is most famous for being home to the precious statue of St. Michael the Archangel. This statue is around 500 years old and carved from ivory.

  5. Chakanaab National Park - this park has it all! Chakanaab has a botanical park featuring all the plant and animal life indegious to Cozumel.  For the history buffs, Chakanaab also has several areas which are dedicated to the history of the Mayan civilization.

  6. Puntas Molas Faro (Molas Point Lighthouse) - Is an old lighthouse located on the northern tip of the island. There are currently no tours that go this area, and it’s only accessible via a 4 wheel drive. The area is ideal for sunbathing, bird watching and ruins. The rugged shoreline offers a scenic drive with beautiful beaches and makes for a great adventure.

  7. El Cedral - is located off the main highway, this village and ruins once comprised the largest settlement in Cozumel.  Tour guides will inform you of the history of the area. You will also find a variety of souvenir shops located at El Cedral.

  8. Pax - This museum is a must see for music lovers. It offers musical instruments such as Mayan flutes, guitars and much more

  9. Xtabay - A wonderful gallery filled with oil paintings, sculptures and figurines created by mexican artists.

  10. Museo de la isla de Cozumel - his wonderful two story museum highlights the history of Cozumel and it's people.  Watch for special exhibits such as "The Day of the Dead" as well.  There is a small outside restaurant on the second floor which serves breakfast, lunch and snacks.  The food is good and the view of the ocean is spectacular!
